It was a day like any other, I was minding my business and came across some entertaining news. In any case, the title I saw on the screen was a shocker. Rapper 50 cent had just made 8.7 Million Dollars promoting one of his favorite penny stocks.

Intrigued, I had to learn the answer of how easy it was for this guy that came from what most would call poor conditions to being one of the most renowned rappers today. Even if you don’t agree with rap, don’t like rap , think it’s crap e.t.c. - that point is moot, as it’s not what I’m talking about today. 50 cent had just made a colossal sum of money from simply thinking outside the box a little. The result was a very big payday on his end (it’s not like he needs the money).

So, how did he make this new level of riches? By endorsing a favorite penny stock of his to his 3.8 Million Twitter followers. Yes, 3.8 Million with an ‘M’.

Interestingly enough, many were on the bull horn quickly to see if any of the conventional rules of stock investing that the SEC sanctions were broken. In reality, there was none – even though many would argue that it was a borderline ‘pump’ to inflate almost worthless stock. Read how 50 backs away from shady investments.

The concept I’d like you to take away from this whole story is the following:

1. You can get super results by using some leverage. In this case, 50 cent used his leverage of fame to persuade many of his followers to mimic his behavior of buying specific stock because he believed in it.

2. Anyone with a little creative thinking can build wealth quickly if you think non-conventionally.

Since making the fortune with stocks, 50 cent has of course shied away from borderline ‘pumping’ stocks publicly as he used to as far as most can tell.

It doesn’t mean that the guy doesn’t still know how to take business ventures seriously. The point being made here is that it doesn’t take a whiz kid or someone born into ‘old money’ to get even richer.

You can build wealth on your own terms by figuring out what’s your greatest way of using leverage to your advantage. Maybe it’s purchasing quality real estate at a deep discount and you making great gains once the housing market bounces back. It might be that you could get angel investors on board for one of your killer concepts that you want to develop.

The list goes on but the biggest takeaway should be to start thinking outside the box. That’s what I’m currently working on as well. I’m not a millionaire yet as of this writing, but I’ve got very good laid out plans on how to get there. What about yourself, have you got a good treasure map of building wealth a bit at a time and finally earning Financial Freedom? Nothing will get you wealthy quite as fast as getting rid of bad debts / loans / consumer debt so put that at your highest check off on your priority list.

It’s no surprise these days that many in unemployment could use a few cutting edge techniques when it comes to maximizing their job interview skills to land that highly anticipated position.

So, how does one start? How do you build effectiveness of interview skills for that promising job? Allow me to share with you the secrets of my own success and what I’ve learned from others in the art of the effective job interview.

First off, prepare your mental mindset for success. Nothing will make you more poised for that new job than to have the positive mental mindset of a giant. You want to walk into the interview room ‘knowing’ that you will walk out with a handsome job offer. How do you become prepared mentally?

Affirmations

You can start with daily affirmations at the start of your day to begin with. Why at the start of your day to do affirmations? Well, for starters, if you do affirmations at the start of your day, it will set your day up for success. Try positively reinforcing for at least 30 days and you will see a profound improvement in yourself mentally and your confidence will usually soar.

Do Your Homework

When you finally get called for that long awaited interview, you have to make it count. Get a leg up on any competition by doing research online or offline of the company you will be interviewing with and anticipate some of the interview questions that you feel you’ll be grilled on. Know this company inside-out. It will impress those interviewers and could short list you for the position very quickly. Not only will you feel great and relaxed, but you will be alot more confident than those who didn’t prepare.

Here are some tips of when you actually enter the interview room.

1. Exude confidence and greet each of your panel politely.

2. Mention that you have heard good benefits of working for ‘ABC’ company.

3. Answer each interview question as best you can. Don’t pretend or lie about something you have no idea on how to answer.

4. Always make good eye contact and smile slightly when you answer questions.

5. Mention your strengths to the interview panel, they’ll note these and why you may be a good fit.

6. Don’t fidget or slouch in your chair, remain professional throughout the interview.

7. Take your time in answering questions. Absorb the question fully and then give a detailed, yet to the point answer.

8. After the interview, shake hands with each of the interview panel, smiling, making eye contact and thanking them for the time, letting them know why you would like to work with them!

Follow up after the Interview

After the interview, your job still isn’t done. You do want to make a lasting and positive impression for the job, right? Here’s what I’ve done in the past. Call reception of the company you just interviewed with and get the email addresses of the interview panel. Then, also get the physical mailing address / street address of the company.

Now that you have the above in hand, draft up a professional letter template in Word or similar addressing each of the panelists individually (separate letters).

When done, print out all the letters to the panelists and file in an envelope. All you have to do now is hand write each panelist name and physical address on the envelope. You’ll be sending out a sincere interview thank you, which in turn, will help you land the position. If they are more than 10 people on the panel, write the top five for example. When completed, hand deliver your thank you letters to reception and ask that they each get the letter or at least send by express mail.

Can you see just how professional this makes you seem or at least how much more ingrained you are in each panelists mind? A powerful, yet effective set of techniques that could possibly double your chances of landing that job offer.

I really do hope this helps you if you are unemployed or maybe in between jobs and looking to land a new position.

I’m also really interested in what you have to say about job interviews and maybe add your views, join the conversation by posting below!

If you haven’t heard about the micro-blogging and web 2.0 social media marvel named Twitter, you might be hiding under a rock. For those of you that don’t know, Twitter is a phenomenal way of joining into a social media community and connecting with others by updates or ‘Tweets’ at no more than 140 characters at a time. This is by no means a beginner guide to Twitter, so if you feel you need more on this, just enter Twitter help into your search friend Google. This post is actually about how you can harness the power of networking of Twitter to maybe brand yourself or your offline or online business.

What I love about Twitter is that it hasn’t turned into this huge capitalistic machine that simply uses giant traffic to monetize itself yet. In other words, it’s not full of ads like some social media sites as of yet. However, like any social media site, you need to get used to certain users that do nothing but Spam you with worthless messages.

Contributions – Your keys to success with Twitter

Instead of using Twitter as simply a time waster or micro Tweet everything under the sun, you want to instead use it to bring value to your followers. When you show values in your Tweets, then you really get listened to and can connect with the right audience. What is the best way to connect with your peer audience? Simply do a search for members on Twitter that are tweeting about a certain topic. If you are an expert on this topic, you should go ahead and follow those users tweeting on the subjects you want to engage in. By following the right users, the SEO power of Twitter kicks in. Great users will notice and actually follow you back if you have good things to say or bring some value that they like. Always remember to tweet off a subject that you are knowledgeable on. For example, if you went are a time management consultant in your offline business, you should be tweeting on value based subjects that include time management.

Grow your Audience on Twitter
The best and most effective way of growing your audience on Twitter is to keep bringing a valuable contribution everyday. For example, if you are a time management consultant (like above), you could hold a teleseminar on the best time management tips and generate leads for your business that way. For effective follows to happen, the people you follow should also be bringing value. If not, unfollow those people because they will be a waste of tweet space. If you had say a time management blog, you could for example, post a video on your blog about how effective time management could free up more hours in your day or even allow you to get a raise because of your new found skill set, and then direct your followers to an online or offline resource of yours. This brings networking relationships to the fore front and actually positions you as an expert. There are many ways of bringing value to your followers and branding yourself, you just need to think a little outside the realm of tweeting with no real value.

Twitter Techniques
Most people that get started with Twitter get started from a standpoint of making Twitter a social time-waster. They just tweet about nothing in general with no real purpose. ‘I’m tying my shoes’ is a perfect example of a great way to lose followers. The first technique is the easiest which is simply ‘Broadcasting’ your Tweets. This method is when you just simply do a general tweet and all your followers get to see what you’ve updated them with, the second and less known technique is ‘Networking’. The networking method involves replying to someone you are following and responding to them with something of value. For example, a random tweeter of yours posts that he finds comfort in the art of painting for relaxation, you could then reply to that person’s tweet, “Like there is nothing like meditation and personal winding down for relaxing”. That person will usually see your post and possibly reply to your tweet – this is a good way of networking and building some value and showing you are not a random tweeter.

Another technique involves Retweeting other’s posts if you find them valuable. If you retweet a post, all your followers see it and also the original tweeter, this in effect builds some trust in the mind of the original tweeter to you. They are usually thankful that you retweeted their tweet and you will usually get their respect.

By building a target audience like this and also showing credibility, you will at some point have a snowball effect because you are bring a lot of value to the table and branding yourself online. With smart online branding like this, you build relationships and it won’t be long before you can start turning these prospects into paying customers of your business or even growing a significant traffic base to your other site(s) or offline business. The key is to build relationships first and eventually good things will happen for you.
