<h3>Many People Don&#8217;t get it</h3>
<p>Let me ask you a simple question and I guess I can expect a reasonable answer, but are you happy currently in the now part of your life?  I will go ahead and explain this fully throughout this post on why I even asked such a vague question and it will make perfect sense to you and possibly help you as well.</p>
<h3>Find a Way to Become Happy</h3>
<p>You see, they are many people that go about life saying to themselves things like, “When I get that big job, promotion I’ll be happy” or “I’ll be so happy when I retire” or “When I finally get married, I’ll be so happy” and on and on.  You get the drift of what I’m saying.  There are a majority of people out there that just say that when they finally reach some sort of milestone, they can become happy.  What this does is somewhat sabotage your happiness as in reality, you are saying, “I can’t be fully happy till I tick this off my list”.  It really is counter-productive to joy in life and you end up somewhat unhappy if you don’t reach some of the very things that you feel could make you happy. </p>
<p>Instead, I implore you to find a way to become happy with what your life is now, there is always a reason for gratitude and you will actually be happier when you determine why you should be happy with yourself now.</p>
<h3>Don’t just be a Dream Chaser</h3>
<p>Thinking that you will become happy when you accomplish some major thing &#8211; many times end in your subconscious thinking , “Well, I’ve accomplished this, but I’m still not as happy as I thought I would be”. <br />
You see, thinking you will be happy when chasing big dreams are like collecting butterflies.  Let’s say that as soon as you catch some nice butterfly, like a Monarch and you decide you will catch all of these types in your garden.  Then another Monarch appears and then another, before you know it, they are more than you can possibly even catch.  So, is the same as thinking that you will be happy when you accomplish everything that you want to.</p>
<h3>Being Happy is a State of Mind</h3>
<p>Learn to live in the happy state of mind now, listen to inspiring music, watch great movies, enjoy times with your family, cherish all good moments, read good books and most of all have fun.  Of course, these are just some of the ways that you can actually change your physical state of mind. Don’t think that you have to work for 30 years in a company and finally reach retirement to be fully happy one day.  There’s a lot more life in between that you could and should be enjoying.</p>
<h3>What Inspired me</h3>
<p>I know one book that really explained the concept of being happy as you are was Marci Shimoff’s<strong>  </strong><a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/1416547738?tag=finaelitblog-20&amp;camp=0&amp;creative=0&amp;linkCode=as1&amp;creativeASIN=1416547738&amp;adid=0VF9ZZK3ZCD2DFWFQDNZ&amp;"><strong>Happy for No Reason</strong></a> book.  If you don’t know <a href="http://marcishimoffblog.com/2010/06/01/catching-the-happy-virus/" target="_blank">Marci Shimoff</a>, she was featured in the movie and book, <strong><a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000K8LV1O?tag=finaelitblog-20&amp;camp=0&amp;creative=0&amp;linkCode=as1&amp;creativeASIN=B000K8LV1O&amp;adid=0VKEB4E2M0FGS49815YV&amp;">‘The Secret’</a></strong> and I really loved the way she broke down the reason that you need to find a life balance and become happy with the life you currently live.  This was good read and full of some illustrated and unorthodox exercises that you can follow and do yourself.  I really endorse you reading the above book as it could alter the way you live and feel on a daily bases.  Happiness, when you understand the root meaning, is the way that we were meant as human beings to actually live.  It’s more of a social fabricated lie that you can’t be happy until you acquire things or accomplish the ‘to do list’ in your life.</p>
<h3>Being Happy is Contagious</h3>
<p>Being happy is contagious to others. Just like hanging around nay sayers and negative people will alter your mood and disposition to something more negative.  Becoming a happy person will ‘infect’ those around you with a more positive vibe and for that reason alone,  it pays to be happy with who and where you are now currently in life.  Time is something given to each one of us and it’s what makes us all equal in a given day.  For instance, I have 24 hours of time in a day and so do you.  You need to start breaking this time into ‘Life moments’ that you look back and fondly some day. </p>
<h3>Life Opportunities</h3>
<p>One big advantage of becoming happy in the now is that like attracts like minds.  Let’s say that you are a positive, outgoing and overall happy person, can you see how this can eventually line you up with positive opportunities all around you?  I can and I bet you are starting to see it as well.  Surround yourself with a positive peer group of like minded minds and you will ‘stay in state’ longer and thrive on happiness.  Who would you rather be around, a negative person always complaining about how bad they have it or someone that’s upbeat and positive and a joy to be around?  I rest my case, case closed. </p>
<h3>Negativism is Pessimism</h3>
<p>Another good question for you is, have you ever seen a very successful, let’s say financially well off person that is always depressed and full of negativity?  If they are, you can possibly count them on one hand.  What I see every day in terms of successful people are inspiring images of those that have made it <em>big, </em>but are usually positive and upbeat.  <strong><em>Positivity breeds more success</em></strong> and I bet this is one of those unwritten rules that scientists will someday prove just as the Law of Attraction and even quantum physics have been proven to be measureable and valid. </p>
<p>Follow your passions and dreams but don’t allow them to dictate how happy you will be in the future.  Instead, embrace all those moments that you can convert to living happy in the moment.  Most of all, it’s a good idea to stay positive.</p>

Hey Friend, I am not talking about giving back money owed to someone in this post, I’m instead talking of doing what is right and giving back financially, physically, time wise or any other resource wise way of giving to those less fortunate.  Just who am I speaking about here?  Well, it could be many denominations / population segments such as the church, charity, Red Cross, Poverty stricken persons, Disaster Victims, Missions and ultimately just those less fortunate.  It has been stereotyped for a long time that those with wealth are the most stingy and hoarders of their money.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  When you check it out, those with wealth are usually also the largest patrons that give back to their community.  Many of those that have financial issues or plain irresponsible with money are usually the ones that hoard their money because they feel they will lose it if they give it up. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: .25in 0in 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;"><br />
Something almost miraculous happens when we learn to become givers or practice Philanthropy by giving back.  We actually start getting back what we give, it’s almost like the more you tend to give, the more you could potentially receive.  Here is where a spirit of Faith is needed in order to help you know that you will receive large blessings in return.  Read my last post, <a href="http://financiallyeliteblog.com/770/the-faith-leap/" target="_blank">Faith Leap</a>, for a very good run down of what it means to really have Faith.</span></p>

<strong>Giving 101</strong></span></p>
<p>By Nature, we should be giving at least 10% of our income to either of the various organizations above.  If you can’t afford 10% for now, try starting with 5% and work yourself up.  Only then will you really know what it takes to actually live ‘Rich’.  You see living Rich is really a lifestyle not some kind of hermit that has a million dollars under a mattress and knows not how to live.  In the life of giving, we get to enjoy many rewards.  We are pleased to know that we are helping those less fortunate from starving, help with shelter, provide disaster relief and all kinds of other benefits to others.  Also note that you don’t have to just give money.  If you don’t have the money, you could donate your time.  Habit for Humanity and the Red Cross are excellent ways of reaching out.</p>

<strong>Put your Charity on Auto</strong></span></p>
<p>Now that you have gotten a good grasp on how to give, you need to start making it an automatic part of your lifestyle.  If it’s once a month, give back like you need to.  Setup an online account called “Give” and have 10% of your income transfer into that account automatically through your bank.  Then it’s as easy as paying from that account or simply going withdrawing and paying to your charity of choice.  By becoming a better giver, you will be surprised by how you will be rewarded in other ways.  You will also feel better that your life is helping others and that will make you a happier person by nature.</p>

Today I ramble on the importance of water in our lives.  Just how important is water in our life?  Well, go a day without water and you become dehydrated, go without for three days and you could possibly die from severe dehydration.  Just wanted to illustrate just how important water is to our physical.  I also would like to elaborate on how important water is to our spiritual and mental development as well.  Did you know that 2/3 of the world is covered in water or that the human brain is 80% comprised of water?  Interesting, yet very important facts.  Now knowing the facts about one of our most important resources, we can strive to make water a pivotal part of our lives. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: .25in 0in 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;"><br />
<strong>Lao Tzu understood the Importance of Water</strong><br />
Lao Tzu, the founder to Taoism, once wrote, “Nothing in the world is more flexible and yielding than water. Yet when it attacks the firm and the strong, none can withstand it, because they have no way to change it. So the flexible overcome the adamant, the yielding overcome the forceful. Everyone knows this, but no one can do it”.  If you would like an excellent resource on Taoism and even more in depth conversations on water, Read Dr. Wayne Dyer’s, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Change-Your-Thoughts-Living-Wisdom/dp/140191750X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1250794942&amp;sr=8-2" target="_blank">‘Change Your Thoughts &#8211; Change Your Life’</a> .  Ever see someone with a water pond or small water fall installed at their premises?  It’s because of the soothing, yet dynamic power of water that affects us.  It is a refresher, a quencher, a calmer, and almost unexplainable element, the most important elixir that man knows about. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: .25in 0in 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;"><br />
<strong>Keep Hydrated</strong><br />
As you can see, we should keep ourselves hydrated with as much water as we need throughout the day.  Drink at least 8 (8 oz.) Glasses of water a day for optimal health.  This improves a number of things.  Brain function and hydration, organ function and red blood cell count (with a healthy dose of oxygen) are just a number of the benefits of drinking water.  If you have a cupboard full of soda, throw it / or give it away and replace it with good old fashioned H20. </span></p>

<strong>Use Water as a Relaxing Agent</strong><br />
You should also use water to relax your Mind, Body and Soul.  You should get away from reality once in a while simply by going to the beach, a lake, take a bubble bath, sit in a Jacuzzi or many other ways of relaxing totally with water.  To totally relax, you should simply make anything that worries or distract you simply just melt away.  Feel the water on your body, how it moves around you, how it calms you from head to toe. </span></p>

When we start using water to bring meaning, purpose and hydration into our lives, we actually become healthier, more stress free and function optimally in our day to day.</span><br />

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.35in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">I’d like to start this subject by saying if you have good financial goals, as most people do, it is imperative that you actually also make it a habit to become energetic and get fit to stay healthy.<span> </span>Not only does regular exercise make you feel better, it is a type of elixir that gets your metabolism going and even releases endorphins making you feel great throughout the day.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br />

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">So now that you have decided to go ahead with a workout routine, where do you start?<span> </span>First off, let me say that you will benefit most from exercise early in the day because you will get your metabolism going early and get the good start for the day.<span> </span>It is even more important to drink a full glass of water when awaking in the morning as you have become dehydrated throughout the night.<span> </span>You should add a lime slice or lemon to your water in order to balance your PH levels for optimal health.<span> </span>If you haven’t worked out in a long time, please see your physician and take baby steps each workout session working yourself up to where your exercise routine needs to be.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Me personally, I like to hop on the treadmill first thing after a long day to get some calories burning and go straight into working out at least one muscle group (Legs, Biceps, Tripeps e.t.c.).<span> </span>When you work out where you do a little circuit training warm-up you get results faster and you stay more pumped throughout your workout and may even get through quicker than a long, traditional workout.<span> </span>The important thing is always motivate yourself to action.<span> </span>Even when you feel like not working out, say to yourself, “I want to work out for myself and my Health” and really mean it.<span> </span>Those words will eventually come alive and you will look forward to exercise.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">We live in possibly one of the most sedentary times in history.<span> </span>What does that mean in a nutshell?<span> </span>People are lazier and eat more than ever in history.<span> </span>We have an obese epidemic in the U.S. and other large developed nations.<span> </span>You must come out of the norm.<span> </span>You must be a working force showing others the right path.<span> </span>Never has there been a time when people are more obsessed with playing a game system for hours on end, rather than socializing, exercising and just getting good old fresh air.<span> </span>I see it every day where people wait till they are over 300 lbs. to try and get fit.<span> </span>You are possibly 10 times more liable to quit your fitness routine if you can’t stay motivated.<span> </span>It all starts in the mind, you have to make up your mind to get fit and healthy.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br />

<p>Remember, your Health is your real Wealth as I’ve heard a spokesman on tv say recently, so take care of it.<span> </span>If you can’t stay motivated, find a personal trainer for say 6 weeks.<span> </span>If you can stay on track for 6 months, stats say you will continue to exercise for the rest of your life.<span> </span>Please share this post with others so that you can help others to get healthy too.<span> </span>When we help others, we learn the true meaning of giving back.<span> </span>To your Health and Fitness.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">It has been said, “Patience and Fortitude conquer all things” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.<span> </span>In this world of fast paced thinking and immediate wants, it is important to focus on the importance of the trait of Patience.<span> </span>We need to have patience in this impatient world to set ourselves apart from those that know nothing of the discipline.<span> </span>Think of all the things that happen in an unfavorable way when we aren’t patient.<span> </span>When you aren’t patient and explode with people, you are quick to anger and possibly sever relationships that should still be there.<span> </span>If you aren’t patient waiting for an outcome, sometimes you may try to ‘make it happen’ and it never happens at all.<span> </span>When you are patient for the right relationship with the opposite sex, your life turns into a nightmare of dating, makeups and breakups because you haven’t found “the one”.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.35in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Patience brings Peace</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It has been said time and time again that Patience is a virtue.<span> </span>What just does that statement mean?<span> </span>In my opinion, it means living in harmony with your spirit and translated through your physical actions in dealing with outside forces.<span> </span>The dictionary meaning of patience is “quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence: <em>to work with patience.</em>”<span> </span>When we live in perfect harmony and practice patience daily, we reap the rewards associated with one who is patient.<span> </span>Only then, can we realize a peace within us as our mind and body are in sync.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.35in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Patience is more than just a Trait</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Having patience also allows you to stay healthy because your mind is in tandem with what you want in your life. <span> </span>Ever notice those with very little patience.<span> </span>How do they react to situations?<span> </span>How is their health?<span> </span>Are they always working smarter or harder?<span> </span>There should be no secret that when we have more patience in our lives, we enjoy the benefits of low stress and other healthy benefits.<span> </span>A lack of patience can lead to other disorders such as hypertension (high blood pressure) and even other unwanted health risks such as heart risks and so on.<span> </span>Those with a lot of patience enjoy having a cool headed attitude, a calm demeanor, low anxiety and a host of other rewards.<span> </span>Practice Patience today and watch your behavior affect others for good.</p>

<h2>Brings out the best in us</h2>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">You want a good reason why you should meditate daily?<span> </span>Just look around you.<span> </span>Look at those that are stuck in the rat race and take no time for self-reflection.<span> </span>Look at those who have no real plan for their lives.<span> </span>Are we put on this earth to just merely exist?<span> </span>Of course not!<span> </span>Man was created for bountiful happiness and abundance.<span> </span>We need to reflect daily and meditate and visualize where we would like to be.<span> </span>See yourself making that big deal, turning the key on the doorknob to your new house, feel the wind in your hair as you drive your new SL500 or frolicking in the hills with your family.<span> </span>These are all powerful mind cues that must be mapped to your subconscious for attraction.<span> </span></span></p>

<h2>Just what is meditation?</h2>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.25in 0in 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">They are many things that we can ‘visualize’ in our meditated state or we can/should also enter our meditated state in total relaxation and calmness.<span> </span>The ancient and modern day monks practice this and there are millions around the world that participate daily in some form of meditation.<span> </span>We in the western world are just catching up with eastern cultures in this much needed personal exercise.<span> </span>Meditation in its more basic form can be thought of as contemplation and reflection.<span> </span>For a more complete description and resource for <a title="Meditation" href="http://www.meditationsguide.com/" target="_blank">meditation</a>, see this <a title="Meditation guide" href="http://www.meditationsguide.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">link</span></a>.<span> </span>The most basic way to start meditation is to close your eyes and breathe in deep a few times, repeating any incantations / mantras or just being silent and meditating.<span> </span>I do this at least 5 times a week myself and it really makes s a difference in your life.<span> </span>Just this week, I mixed in power incantations with some meditation for personal benefit.<span> </span>In saying that, it is also important to wish others the best in your meditations as well.<span> </span>The more you give, the more you tend to receive in life blessing.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">I promise if you start to meditate and make it a normal part of your routine, you will see big changes.<span> </span>Not only will you see changes, but others will see those changes and be attracted to your life force as well.</span><br />
